To reset your password, go to the “Log in” page and click “Forgot your password?” Enter your email address and hit the “Send me reset password instructions.” Instructions for resetting your password will be sent to your email address.
To make any changes or edits to a CANS that was done more than 7 days ago, you will need to submit the request using the secure Help Box. Please make sure to include:
(a) the client’s MA# in your message,
(b) the date of the CANS in reference,
(c) the specific information that you would like changed (item scores, demographics, etc.).
You will receive a confirmation email upon completion of the change.
To enter a CANS that was done more than 7 days ago, please follow these steps:
1) Enter the CANS using today’s date.
2) Use the secure Help Box to make a request to backdate the CANS. Please be sure to include:
a) the client’s MA#,
b) the date of the CANS that you would like backdated,
c) the correct date.
The Praed Foundation requires annual recertification for the CANS, which is accomplished through the TCOMtraining.com web page.
The steps for uploading a new certificate are:
1) Login to your DataPool account.
2) Click the gray person icon in the top right section of the screen, and select My Account from the menu options.
3) Scroll down to the Certification section and enter the correct date of your most recent CANS certification in the Date of Certification box.
4) Upload your CANS Certificate.
[Note: You obtain the CANS certificate from the TCOM training web page, once you have successfully passed the CANS certification exam. You can find the certificate once you login to your TCOMtraining.com account, click on ‘Me’ at the top menu, and then ‘My Certificates’.]
5) Click on the Submit button at the bottom of the screen.
One updates their CANS Certification date by uploading their most uptodate CANS certificate. Please follow the process as laid out in FAQ Question 4 .
CANS certification must be renewed annually. CANS certification is centralized through the Praed Foundation’s collaborative training website www.TCOMTraining.com . This site provides a full training experience with videos, quizzes, practice vignettes with feedback and certification testing. The cost to become certified through the Praed Foundation’s CANS training website is $15 and is the responsibility of the individual. Individuals should check with their specific agency to determine if the cost of the CDR CANS–PA certification is reimbursable.
For Recertification: Once you re-certify in the CANS, please update your CANS certification information in the My Account section in the CDR DataPool™. Please note that this information is verified.
